Going Under offers the following rebreathers on site for training and sales: Megalodon, Mini-Megalodon, KISS Classic, KISS Sport, Inspiration, Evolution, rEvo, Azimuth, Drager Dolphin, and Drager Ray. Instructors onsite at Going Under Dive Center can provide local training or training abroad, all you have to do is call or email us for the next available class.

Rebreather Information and Pool Demonstration

First event December 12 & 13, 2007 6:30 - 9:30 pm was a great time and we will plan another soon - call to put your name on a list
Wednesday evening will be in the classroom (space is limited must register in advance) and will focus on the many styles of rebreathers available today. Ron will present information on over 9 different rebreathers that he has personally owned and trained divers on, as well as additional models that Ron has dove or field tested. There will be 4 different CCR's on display and available to tear-down and examine. This is a perfect opportunity for questions on basic design and performance from beginner to advanced diver.
Thursday evening will be Pool only and there will be 4 different rebreathers for you to pool test as many times as the evening allows.
Cost is $65 - all you need to provide is swimsuit, towel and MFS for pool. Basic scuba certification is a prerequisite.

Trimix CCR ( Inspiration/Evolution / Megalodon / KISS / Optima )
Level II Prerequisites:
Program Limits
One stage cylinder must be carried for bail-out and as backup of Diluent
No dives conducted depths greater than 170 fsw
Limited decompression ( max 25 min )
FO2 minimum 20% and no more than 30% Helium in Diluent mixture
This program includes a confined water session prior to a minimum of 6 dives using CCR with Normoxic mixture, Three dives may use EANx or Air mixtures for dives of 90 fsw or shallower.
Divers already qualified as Normoxic Trimix Divers must complete all CCR specific lectures and skills plus make 4 dives using Normoxic Diluent gas. Three dives must be deeper than 90 fsw.

Level III
Full Trimix CCR ( Inspiration / Megalodon CCR / Classic KISS / Optima )
Level III Prerequisites:
Must be qualified as a Rebreather Diver, and Normoxic Trimix Diver or previously certified as an open circuit Trimix Diver. Diver previously certified open circuit Trimix may omit Level II CCR
Must provide proof of a minimum of 200 dives, and at least 50 logged hours of dive time on CCR, with at least 25 dives that included required decompression stops.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Program Limits
PO2 set-point may not be set higher than 1.3 during working portion of dive, nor higher than 1.4 during decompression.
No training dives may be conducted to depths greater than 260 fsw.
Program must include a confined water session prior to 4 dives using CCR with helium based gas mixtures. All of the dives must be deeper than 165 fsw.

Dolphin / Ray SCR Rebreather Instructor
SodaSorb Absorbent is manufactured by W. R. Grace & Co. who is the largest manufacturer of CO2 absorbent in the world. It is available in two grades for the diving industry. The 4-8 mesh grade is used in rebreathers with higher "Work of Breathing" WOB or in situations were shorter dives are planned. The 6-12 mesh grade is used in rebreathers where the WOB is more efficient and longer durations are required.
