

SCUBA Certification
Going Under Dive Center was built for our students convenience with an onsite pool, classrooms, and one of the largest selections of retail equipment in the Midwest. Students are trained in the newest and highest quality dive equipment, by the nations most qualified scuba instructors. Students may choose from several training agencies, however GUDC recommends PADI training as the most comprehensive and up to date. Our dedicated staff will also help you select a complete diving system so you may enjoy the full benefits of scuba diving.
Open Water Scuba Certification is taught in two parts: Home Study Review / Pool and Open Water Dives . Upon completion of both parts you will be certified as an Open Water Scuba Diver
( I ) Scuba Class / Pool
Review Basics: Home Study Review is minimal since you complete most of the academic portion in the comfort of your own home with the most modern instructional systems available. Start today by stopping into our dive center - meet your instructor and pick up a home study kit, or click the link below for on-line training.
Pool: Using only the newest and
best quality scuba equipment, you will practice and master real skills, that
you will need as a diver.
POOL PRACTICE! - Need more time or confidence, it FREE - Our on site pool allows us to offer you all the time it takes to feel like a pro in the water.

CERTIFICATION COST PART ( I ) Home Study Review & POOL
Small Group : $209 per person or eLearning
$49 plus on-line

Semi Private : $425 double, and $395 triple - per person.
Private: $495 single
*Traditional course include home study kit ( DVD / text ) which are yours to keep. Online kit includes student file necessary for course, supplemental log book & RDP are required. You will be asked to provide 2 head/shoulder ID size photos Additional PADI supplemental supply kit $24 (Log Book / RDP / deluxe carry case) .

II ) Open Water Dives
Open Water Dives: After completing Part I, you'll make four open water scuba dives with your instructor. We offer open water dives locally from May until October, on all of our tropical dive trips, plus we offer students referral training so they may complete their dives almost anywhere in the world with another Scuba instructor. $275 click link for more information.
GUARANTEE: Your training will include as much pool time as necessary for you to be comfortable in the water. Be prepared to plan extra pool or class sessions if necessary to complete your training. If you enjoy water, have at least an average swimming ability, a positive attitude, complete your home study, and attend all class sessions, we will do whatever we can to ensure that you are comfortable and confident in the water.
CANCELLATION POLICY: To keep class sizes small we require all class fees due when you register, payment guarantees your space. Your class fees are non-refundable within 14 days of the class starting date and is non transferable within 7 days of the class start time. Only one transfer allowed $90 fee. All course fees are forfeited if you do not attend.
