 Equipment Requirements 

These recommendations are for Midwest area ( Wazee, Crosby, Lk. Superior ), if you are taking courses on vacation, or an area other please ask.  The listed equipment is recommended based on prior experience, availability for gas fills, etc...   Please see www.tdisdi.com click TDI and follow links to standards.  Course outline will list required equipment for each specific course.

Advanced Nitrox / Decompression Procedures

• High volume dive cylinder with h-valve, or high volume dive cylinder k-valve with redundant ( pony ) scuba unit ( 20 -30 cu. ft. min. ) Recommend 3 primary cylinders due to availability of fills at dive site
• Stage bottle ( 30 - 40 cu. ft. min. ) and O2 clean stage reg for 75% or greater deco gas
• OMS / Buddy Surface Marker Buoy 55 lb. lift
• OMS Primary / Dive Rite Primary dive reel 300 ft. line
• OMS Digital Bottom Timer / Nitek3 multi gas computer
• IANTD flexible dive table - Air deco with 75 or greater deco gas
• Small dive light with trigger snap clip ( 4 C-cell size )
•  Slate

Minimum equipment recommendation is based on location and proximity / time for gas fills.  Student not prepared with sufficient equipment will be asked to reschedule at student expense.

CCR Basic Level I                                    *(Rebreather)

• Stage bottle ( 20 -30 cu. ft. min. ) and stage reg for bailout gas and gas sharing
• OMS / Dive Rite / Buddy Surface Marker Buoy 55 lb. lift
• OMS Primary / Dive Rite Primary dive reel 150 - 300 ft. line
• Multi gas computer / Explorer / Nitek3 / etc. or digital bottom timers with Constant PO2 dive tables
• IANTD flexible dive skill sheet ( included in course fee ) Recommend "Tech Pocket" or drysuit "Thigh Pocket" for storage of
• Small dive light with trigger snap clip ( 4 C-cell size )
•  Slate *wrist or held in tech pocket

CCR Trimix Level II & III                    *(Rebreather)

• Two stage regulators - one diluent ( long hose recommended) and one oxygen clean
• Two stage bottles - (  30/40 cf. dil & 20 cf. oxy.  )
• OMS / Buddy Surface Marker Buoy 55 lb. lift
• OMS Primary / Dive Rite Primary dive reel 200- 300 ft. line
• Multi gas constant PO2 dive computer: Explorer / etc.
• IANTD flexible dive skill sheet ( included in course fee ) Recommend "Tech Pocket" or drysuit "Thigh Pocket" for storage of tables, etc.
• Small dive light with trigger snap clip ( 4 C-cell size ) / Canister light
•  Slate *wrist or held in tech pocket

Extended Range

• Dual cylinders with Isolation manifold.   Recommend 2 sets of twin cylinders
• Wings BCD minimum 45 lb. lift  w/harness
• Two Class A primary regulators, one with 5 -7 foot long hose
• One stage regulator oxygen clean
• Two stage bottles - minimum 40 cubic foot.  
• OMS / Buddy Surface Marker Buoy 55 lb. lift
• OMS Primary / Dive Rite Primary dive reel 300 ft. line
• OMS Digital Bottom Timer / Nitek3 multi gas computer
• IANTD flexible dive table - Air deco with 75 or greater deco gas
• Small dive light with trigger snap clip ( 4 C-cell size )
•  Slate

• Two stage regulators - one nitrox and one oxygen clean
• Two stage bottles - minimum 40 cubic foot. ( Recommend 2 sets of each gas )
• OMS / Buddy Surface Marker Buoy 55 lb. lift  ( 1 required -  recommend 2 )
• OMS Primary / Dive Rite Primary dive reel 300 ft. line ( 1 required -  recommend 2 )
• VR3 or Explorer Trimix computer / OMS Digital Bottom Timer / Nitek3 multi gas computer                  ( recommend 2  any combination )
• 2 - Small dive lights with trigger snap clip ( 4 C-cell size )
•  Slate, cutting device, etc.
• Argon or Air Drysuit Inflation system pony bottle / regulator

Trimix

• Two Class A primary regulators, one with 5 -7 foot long hose
• Two stage regulators - one nitrox and one oxygen clean
• Two stage bottles - minimum 40 cubic foot.  Recommend 2 sets of each gas
• OMS / Buddy Surface Marker Buoy 55 lb. lift  ( 1 required -  recommend 2 )
• OMS Primary / Dive Rite Primary dive reel 300 ft. line ( 1 required -  recommend 2 )
